The following guide provides a step by step illustrated guide to setting up an email account on an Android based Smartphone.
Please Note: The appearance may differ slightly from your own phone, dependant on the version of Android running on your phone, and any additional software or User Interface elements added by specific hardware vendors.

Other Notes:
In this guide, we will be adding an email account "test@sandhurst.net.au" with a password of "mypassword". You will need to substitute these values for your email address and password.
Step 1. Open your phone settings menu, and
select "Add account"
Step 2. Select "IMAP"
Step 3. Enter your email address, your password, and
select "Manual setup"
Step 4. Select "POP3"
Step 5. Set the Server, Port, and Security type as shown.
Press Next
Step 6. Set the SMTP Server, Port, and Security type as shown,
and ensure Require sign-in is unticked, then press Next
Please Note!: If you plan to send email from your smartphone,
whilst you are not connected to your wireless router at home - you
will need to change the outgoing settings according to the
recommendations of your mobile provider.
As part of a best practice measure to prevent SPAM Email, our
email server will only allow emails to be sent when they come from
within our network.
However, receiving email will still work correctly even when
connected outside of our network through a mobile provider.
Step 7. Set the settings shown to your particular preference.
Press "Next"
Step 8. Set the settings shown according to personal preferences.
Press Next
Step 9. Your email account is now setup.
